Every few years, designers pronounce the checked woollen skirt a fashion favourite again. This one however does not have a boring déjà vu effect most others have. The refined mix of normal smooth-woven fabric and textured bouclé fabric adds an interesting new touch.
The normally clear contours of the check are blurred and the colours blend gently into each other.
Particularly successful element: The strong contrast, from rust, ochre and brown to blue on a deep black background. Coloured, slim ribbons create optical tension and depth. No-waist cut with waist darts, back zip fastener and vent at the back.
Fitted cut. Length in size 10: 56cm (22″). Colour: Check in rust, ochre, brown, blue on a black background. 35% acrylic, 30% wool, 18% cotton, 12% polyester, 8% polyamide. Lining: 94% polyester, 6% elastane. Dry clean only.
