Made of hand picked Peruvian pima cotton. On par with the world's best polo shirts.
This polo shirt, made from extremely fine Peruvian pima cotton, costs no more than an ordinary good-quality polo shirt. But it is as soft and durable as the best and most expensive cotton polo shirts in the world. It is made from rare Peruvian pima cotton. This silky, shimmering cotton (also known as “South American silk”) really only flourishes well in the climatic conditions found in Peru, where the fibre is as fine as 3.2 - 3.9 microns (by comparison, pima cotton from the USA is distinctly coarser at 4.6 - 5.5 microns). And in Peru, pima cotton is still picked and sorted by hand. When harvested this way, it remains free of chemicals, is skin-friendly – and rare. Thanks to our direct contacts with South America, this polo shirt is still surprisingly inexpensive.
Keeps its colour and shape, feels splendidly soft.
The lightweight pima cotton interlock feels so soft against your skin, is breathable and will not lose its shape. Interlock knits feature a typically smooth and identical appearance of the stitches on both sides. This polo shirt has more body than a jersey polo shirt, hangs well and will not stretch. It also keeps its colour, even after many washes, unlike most cotton types.
Finished with great attention to detail.
It’s not just the material that distinguishes this polo shirt from ordinary, frequently more expensive polo shirts. The seams are double-stitched so they won’t tear apart, even after years of wear. Smooth button panel without bulky seams. The collar is kept in perfect shape by a doubled neckband below the ribbed collar and a herringbone tape on the inside. Long sleeves with fine welts at the wrist in the same fabric. With side slits for a perfect fit over trousers.
Straight cut. Length in size 40: 75cm (29.5"). 100% cotton. Machine wash. Made in Peru.
