Rediscovered ancient cooling and preserving technology.
Long before there were refrigerators, butter was cooled and preserved in salted water. This ingenious porcelain butter dish is designed using the same proven concept. Just fill the lower part with water and add a pinch of salt for preservation. Put the butter in the upper part, hang it upside down in the water bath and keep it at room temperature. Thank to the exclusion of air your butter doesn’t turn yellow or even rancid, but retains its freshness and full flavour for at least 10 days.
Matches all dinner and tableware.
