The ingenious chain of baking beads (instead of loose pulses or baking beans). Saves effort and is almost infinitely reusable.
This baking chain made of heat-resistant silicone is much more practical for blind baking than loose beans, lentils or peas. It takes no time to arrange the flexible, 1.25m (4.1 ft) long cord over your shortcrust pastry. 77 firmly anchored baking beads weigh down the dough evenly and keep it flat. Perfect for filling later or layering.
After baking you can remove it again in one simple go. No tricky picking out of the beans and nothing rolls away.
For storage and hygienic cleaning in the dishwasher simply put the chain into the mesh bag included.

While lentils can affect the flavour (and have to be replaced after a few baking cycles), the silicone remains permanently tasteless.
