Elk Biscuit Tray or Rabbit Cress Tray

Lovingly made and one of a kind.
The base is a piece of 10mm (0.4") thick, oiled Norway maple. No boards are identical – the natural wood grain and the individual shade of the wood make each board unique. The laser-cut elk silhouette made of MDF composite is simply placed into the milled groove and stays in place without any glue or screws. A second groove defines the position for the porcelain tray. Thanks to the custom-fit ridge in the bottom, it sits securely and does not slip. Awarded with the FORM Design Award 2010. Design: Jette Scheib, Haarlem, the Netherlands.
