Airy sinamay. On-trend floral design. Hand-made in Italy.
Until now, headbands were usually reserved for cold winter days. Now designers have chosen the headband as the accessory trend for the summer. In addition, this headband features bang up-to-date sewn-on flowers, which makes it even trendier. Last but not least, it’s hand-made in Italy using a very special material.
Sinamay is a type of flexible woven straw. In brilliant colours and with a fine sheen.
Made from the fibres of the abaca plant, a palm-like banana species from the Philippines. Abaca fibres are three times stronger than silk, yet soft and pliable. Sinamay is woven by the metre and the individual sections of the headband are cut by hand in the hat factory, then arranged into shape and carefully sewn together. The rear stretch insert ensures a perfect fit and makes sure that the headband stays in place.
Width approx. 7cm (2.8"). Colour: Nougat. 100% straw. Made in Italy.
