Made by Bollmann Hat Company, America’s oldest hat maker.
This hat, in the classic trilby shape of the sixties, is made of repeatedly processed wool felt. This technique involves the material being combed by machine until it obtains a life-like appearance of hair felt – as with hats made of rabbit or beaver fur felt but which are much more expensive and come from ecologically questionable sources.
The finishing touch is done by hand.
After combing, the felt is polished by hand. This elaborate procedure gives the trilby its distinguished shine. All this takes place in the oldest hat factory in Pennsylvania/USA: Bollman Hat Company, who have guaranteed exclusive hats for more than 150 years.
